often found in old, even neglected gardens; its colour and
fragrance, its airy growth adds to the romantic aspect of
the rose. Blooms continually on fine long stems with hardly
any thorns. Does well in a half shady position. |

To
Visit the Rose-garden:
Our
country roads are narrow, so to avoid traffic problems,
we ask you to respect the instructions :
To
come to Berty : follow signs starting next to the church of Largentière.
The exit road passes through the village of Joannas.
When you leave Berty, turn left (opposite direction from arrival),
go straight on until you meet the Largentière-Valgorge
road.
This goes through Joannas and from there to Largentière.
By following these instructions and treating the roads as one-way
only, you will avoid meeting other cars head-on in places too
narrow to pass.
Spring
2007 :
The
garden will be open from May 17 to June 9, holidays and sundays
included, from 10am to 18.00pm.
Income : 4 Euros - Free for children
under 12.
Please
do not bring your dog, it will not be allowed in the garden and
will be miserable in your car, which is unpleasant. Unhappy barking
dogs can ruin the day for everyone.
The
visit is free except for the groups which have to make a special
appointment ahead of time.
At
the rose-garden, roses in containers are for sale, but we don't
ship them.
We will be happy to welcome you at the tea-room.
The
itinerary is sign-posted from Largentière (6 km) as of
May 17th.
Please drive slowly. As the access road is a narrow dirt road,
please leave by way of Joannas.
